INTRODUCTION TO WHEEL THROWING - POTTERY COURSE​

 

Duration: 1 - 6 months

Batch 1: Mon,Wed  : 12 - 2 PM

Batch 2: Mon, Wed : 2.30 - 4.30 PM

Batch 3: Tue, Thurs : 12 - 2 PM

Batch 4: Tue, Thurs : 2.30 - 4.30 PM

Batch 5: Saturday : 12 - 4 PM

SYLLABUS 

• Studio Orientation, Introduction to Pottery & The Wheel. 

• Clay preparation & wedging, Pottery wheel basics. 

• Centering, Coning, Pulling on the wheel. 

• Making forms of cylinders, bowls, plates and moving onto more complex forms.

• Trimming, Making handles, Finishing. 

• Cylinder manipulation to mugs, vases, pots, pourers etc. 

• Handbuilding techniques. 

• Surface decoration, Slip & score, imprinting. 

• Electric kiln firing & Clay recycling theory. 

• Personal projects + Q&A

INCLUSIONS-

• All materials: clay, tools, wheels, aprons, bisque and glaze firing for upto 10 pieces. 

• 3 microwave/dishwasher/food-safe ceramic pieces made by you. 

 

Fee: Rs 8000 per month (all inclusive)

For 3 months - Rs 22500 + 3 free practice sessions.
