A WEEK-LONG POTTERY WORKSHOP

Duration: 5 days

Time: 5–7 pm daily (10 hours total)

Beginner friendly | Age 8+

Day 1: Pinching Technique

• Studio orientation, introduction to pottery

• Types of clay, tools & ceramic basics

• Clay wedging + making pinch pots

Day 2: Coil & Slab Building

• Demos for coil and slab work

• Attaching clay: score/slip method

• Surface textures & decorating

Day 3: Personal Projects + Kiln Theory 

• Create projects using learned techniques

• Drying & bisque firing prep

• Kiln overview

Day 4: Project Completion + Underglazing

• Finish personal pieces

• Underglazing demo + carving & imprinting

Day 5: Final Underglazing + Wrap-up

• Paint & prep 2–3 pieces for bisque firing

• Q&A + studio facilities

• All materials: clay, tools, underglazes, glazing & 3 firings

• 3 microwave/dishwasher/food-safe ceramic pieces made by you

• Aprons, water & studio access
